I'm not surprised that the special is only 21.8 because who wants to see a special which plays the summaries of the whole drama about 80% of the time?

Apparently, Goo Hye Sun who is playing the leading role in the latest drama hit “Boys Before Flowers” as Geum Jan Di, does not have a personal make-up artist or hairstylist for her filming needs. She does her own hair and makeup for the drama! And this news has created quite a commotion with some netizens praising her for her effort in doing things herself while others criticised her poor makeup and hairstyling skills.

A representative from the “Boys Before Flowers” production team said: “Goo Hye Sun will do her makeup and hair personally everytime before the filming. She has also portrayed her role as Geum Jan Di very well and is really a multi-talented girl. She designs new hairstyles during her personal times. As this time round she plays a cute high school girl, it isn’t necessary for her to have any make-up artist or hairstylist.”

No make-up artist and hairstylist for the character for has the most scenes in the drama? Is the production team trying save cost or what? So this is the reason why I find her hairstyle in “Boys Before Flowers” a little… erm… weird, even though I do like her character here.

"Boys Over Flowers: back to filming" Thoughts on Goo Hye Sun's return to the set

Goo Hye Sun returns to the set of “Boys Over Flowers” on the 5th. After her discharge on the 2nd, she shot one scene for episode 17, and then has been resting due to complications caused by her injury.

She returned to filming on the 5th. The swelling in her face is almost completely gone and her pronunciation has improved compared to before. The only problem that remains is that her injury has not yet healed, and her stitches are scheduled to be taken out tonight. Despite the hospital's advice to have it taken out on the 7th, they could not keep Goo Hye Sun away from the set any longer.

A representative stated over the phone, “This is the first real filming we had since last week. She's not 100% well yet, but she is doing the best that she can. Her condition has improved greatly. It was no small accident, she could have easily fell back, but she is showing no complaints or discomfort at all. We are really proud of her.”

Another representative stated, “Goo Hye Sun is back to acting with her passion. You would have never known she was a person who just came out of an accident. She would give her best even if it means she'll fall apart.”

Before the car accident, Goo Hye Sun also injured her head during a diving scene. At the time she had to come back to filming after one day, despite the hospital's advice to stay. Outside of these incidents, the representatives revealed that she has sustained many more injuries while doing dangerous action scenes and sports scenes. On one occasion, she injured her leg and could barely move. But she kept her complaints from the representatives and continued with filming.

A representative of one of the F4 members said, “Goo Hye Sun's devotion to acting really deserves an applause. No matter how cold, or how hard it is, she never leaves the set. She stays near the monitor to watch every aspect.

Another representative said, “It really is heartbreaking to see that because she is surrounded by F4, she is always suffering attacks from antifans. But if they saw her on the set, no one would be able to say those kinds of things about her again.”

BOYS OVER FLOWERS: WEDDING SCENE IN JEJU ISLAND

It has been revealed that the staff and cast of 'Boys Over Flowers' will fly over to Jeju Island next week in order to shoot Goo Joon Pyo and Ha Jae Kyung's wedding. Sports Korea revealed that this scene will air during episode 20. However, since the script has not been revealed to the public, details of this episode has been carefully guarded. The exact happenings of this episode has yet to be released. Group Eight, along with Lee Min Ho and Lee Min Jung, are holding their tongues and making sure that the filming will be done in secrecy. Many are curious for the outcome of this episode.

Scenario #1: Japanese Version Happy Ending?

The Japanese version, Hana Yori Dango, ended it's popular series with a movie. The ending showed the wedding of Makino Tsukushi (Geum Jandi) and Domyouji Tsukasa (Goo Joon Pyo). As the other F4 members look on, the two main characters make their vows to love each other until death. Lee Min Ho and Goo Hyesun revealed in earlier interviews that the Korean version will end on a happy note. Many are assuming that the wedding scene at Jeju Island will end with a big, crucial twist. Fans are anticipating for a Goo Joon Pyo-Ha Jae Kyung or Goo Joon Pyo-Geum Jandi wedding.

Scenario #2: 'The Graduate'?

In 1967, the movie, 'The Graduate', left it's audience with an impressive ending. The main character, Dustin Hoffman, runs out of his wedding, holding the hand of his beautiful bride. Many are also guessing that 'Boys Over Flowers' will follow a similiar concept. During his wedding with Han Jae Kyung, Goo Joon Pyo will spot Geum Jandi and run out of the hall, grabbing her hand.

Scenario #3: A real Joon Pyo-Jae Kyung wedding...?

It is possible that Goo Joon Pyo will actually marry his fiancee. After his failed relationship with Jandi, he will turn to Jae Kyung and follow his mother's wishes. This ending would be different from the manga, the Japanese version, and the Taiwanese version. If the production team decide to follow along with this scenario, they will most likely be bombarded with angry complaints from the viewers. In the manga, the two main characters (Jandi-Joon Pyo) realize their love for each other and promise themselves to one another at the end.

'Boys Over Flowers' has currently aired it's 17th episode. Netizens have been busy creating a ending plot for the series. A representative for 'Boys Over Flowers' commented, "It is true that we have a wedding scene planned. However, no one, not even the actors, know what will be filmed. They do not know, in detail, the storyline of that episode. The producers and writers are working hard on making a good script."
